With 100% of our workforce and 85% of our supplies sourced locally, we directly support the regional economy and reduce our carbon footprint. Our eco-friendly infrastructure prioritises energy efficiency and waste reduction, ensuring minimal environmental impact in daily operations. To further conservation, we host monthly educational programs for our staff and guests, enhancing environmental awareness and interpretive skills. We also partner with local schools to nurture the next generation of environmental stewards, and our staff-led “Heritage Troupe” keeps local culture alive through weekly performances, celebrating our heritage and enriching our guests’ experience. By blending environmental care, economic support, and cultural celebration, Borneo Rainforest Lodge sets a standard for responsible tourism, creating a destination where every stay supports a larger mission of sustainability and community empowerment.
